Why are their eyes blue?
The same temperature-sensitive gene that keeps the body pale also keeps pigment out of the eye, so every colourpoint cat is blue-eyed. Sepia (31) and mink (32) are softer forms of the same series.

Point is recessive: a kitten is point only when it gets it from the father and the mother. Point × point = every kitten point, all blue-eyed.
