Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Scottish Straight and Scottish Fold?+
Only the ears: the Straight's stand upright while the Fold's bend forward. Both appear in the same litters and share the same rounded look and sweet nature.
Why are Straights essential in Fold breeding?+
Fold × Fold pairing is avoided for documented health reasons, so responsible breeders pair a Fold with a Straight — making the Straight indispensable to the breed.
Do Scottish Straights cost less than Folds?+
Often yes — folded ears are the sought-after trait — but pedigree, titles and colour matter more to price than ear shape alone.
